A Child's First Test Should be a Vision Test

Eyesight is the ability to see 20/20 clearly. Vision is a more complex process involving more than 20 visual abilities, including the following:
Eye movement control
Ability to focus near/far
Tracking
Depth perception
Binocularity
Visual spatial
Visual Perception
Visual Motor
Visual Memory
Visualization

Eighty percent of what we perceive, comprehend and remember depends on an efficient visual system. It is estimated that one out of four children in the United States has an undetected visual problem that interferes with learning. Following are signs of visual problems that interfere with school and/or job performance:
Avoidance - Near/Far
Rubbing eyes
Reading
Eye contact
Loses Place
Poor sports ability
Reversals
Handwriting
Comprehension
Headaches
Squinting
Stomachaches
